SAINT GEORGE'S DAY

This year, under the motto “A book in your hand, a world to explore”, our school is experiencing with special enthusiasm the arrival of one of the most anticipated celebrations: THE DAY OF SANT JORDI . Days before, corridors and classrooms are already filled with crafts, melodies, rehearsals and preparations that announce a very special day. Finally the big day arrives, in which we share tradition, creativity and coexistence with the children, families and the neighborhood, making the school an open space full of life.

LANGUAGE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

The Environmental Education Plan has presented the initiative "Speak Catalan and do it!", with the active participation of the city's educational community. This campaign aims to contribute to generating contexts of real and meaningful use of Catalan among children and young people, encouraging its spontaneous practice both inside and outside the classroom. The Escola Joc de la Bola has joined this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to promoting the Catalan language as a tool for cohesion, communication and coexistence.

READING OUT LOUD CONTEST.

Once again, our school has participated in the reading aloud competition, an activity that encourages a love of reading and helps students express themselves confidently in front of an audience. This year, our representatives were Albert, from 4th grade, and Noah, from 6th grade. Both gave an excellent performance, demonstrating preparation, effort and great enthusiasm. They were able to convey the meaning of the text and capture the attention of the audience with a clear and expressive reading. END OF THE SECOND QUARTER

PONENT ATHLETIC OLYMPIAD

The 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students took part this Saturday in the Ponent Athletics Olympics, held at the Les Basses municipal athletics track. The day combined sports practice and coexistence, emphasizing effort, teamwork and the feeling of belonging to the center. It is worth highlighting the good results achieved, with students qualifying for the semifinals and finals. Beyond the results, the center especially values the positive atmosphere experienced throughout the day and the exemplary attitude of the students, who represented the center with enthusiasm and commitment.

READER FRIEND

On Friday afternoons, the elementary school students meet with their friends, the upper school students, to share a very special time dedicated to reading. During these meetings, adults and children enjoy stories, books and various activities together designed to stimulate and encourage a taste for reading. Through games, reading aloud, conversations about the stories and small creative proposals, a space for shared learning, cooperation and coexistence is created.
